Programme Manager-Architecture Transformation, Director
Join us as a Programme manager-Architecture Transformation
- You’ll be delivering sustainable change to our IT operating environment aligned to our infrastructure strategy, on behalf of multiple business areas
- We’ll look to you to establish and actively manage relationships with senior and executive business stakeholders for the definition and execution of major programmes

What you'll do
As a Technology Delivery Lead, you’ll be leading the portfolio delivery team, leading technical resources within and across the function. You’ll be making sure that the risk associated with change implementation and business awareness and readiness are fully understood to prevent unexpected system outages.
You’ll be planning and delivering business driven infrastructure change on behalf of assigned franchises or functions, as well as taking responsibility for cohesive demand forecasting across the assigned portfolio, enabling effective resource management in order to meet a committed and baselined plan of record.
You’ll also be:
- Maintaining services risk assessments, to understand, inform, and clearly articulate the risk appetite with regards to the technology service provision
- Leading the direction on, and team oversight of, working relationships with key business stakeholders and senior management to support the understanding of the businesses risk appetite with respect to the technology service provision
- Driving the development of a risk assessment based overview of the functions IT estate, reviewing business risk appetites to identify current and emerging risks
- Driving the engagement with business chief information officers and senior management to develop a prioritised risk assessment based activity plan to make sure that the function operates within the articulated business risk appetites
- Articulating risks on the business and customer service, making sure that they comply with the risk framework and are appropriately understood, categorised, escalated and remediated
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience as a risk management leader with a background of developing and implementing effective risk management approaches. You’ll additionally need strong leadership skills with experience of operating in a matrix managed environment.
Alongside a background of working in a regulatory environment, you’ll need experience of working in a technology environment, preferably within financial services, as well as the ability to operate and influence at an executive level, and create a collaborative culture across the divisions or functions supported.
You’ll also demonstrate:
- Experience of risk management and risk control at a technical and operational level
- The ability to translate risk terminology into simple, meaningful and powerful business communications, issues and challenges
- The ability to operate across geographies and cultures
- The knowledge to identify industry trends and best practice and incorporate into current practice
- Experience of working in reporting and analytics
