Digital within Airbus is a Transnational Organisation mirroring the Industrial landscape. Digital is currently undergoing a major transformation programme focussing on Product and Technology Service teams with an end-to-end (E2E) accountability and full responsibility for the value proposition.

As SAP FICO Functional Architect for S4 Transformation, the candidate should be highly experienced SAP FICO Functional Architect to define and govern the end-to-end solution design for our finance systems. This role is a senior-level SME responsible for ensuring our SAP FICO platform is scalable, robust, and seamlessly integrated with all other critical Line of Business.. You will be the technical authority for all complex FICO solutions and cross-functional integrations.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in an area such as information technology, applied mathematics, engineering,

• 10+ years of experience in SAP FICO, with at least 4-5 years in an Architect or Solution Lead role and minimum 2 S/4 HANA Green field implementations.

• Proven, deep expertise in designing and implementing complex integrations between SAP FICO and other non-SAP/SAP systems.

• Expert-level knowledge of core FICO modules and their integration points with SD, MM, and PP.

• Strong technical understanding of SAP integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, BAPI, API) and middleware concepts (SAP PI/PO, CPI, or similar).

• Experience in both SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments.

• Experience/Knowledge  in latest innovations in SAP like clear core, BTP integration etc.

• Ability to think strategically ("big picture") and translate complex business needs into a scalable and maintainable architecture.

• Exceptional documentation and communication skills.

• TOGAF or other architecture framework certification is a plus.

• Good to have knowledge of Hana and SLT landscape. 

• Excellent communication skills as required to engage customers on requirements and delivery

• Working experience in Scrum Computing and an Agile environment

Responsibilities

• High focus on customer satisfaction and short time-to-market

• Define best match between needs and existing solutions & technologies

• Design and own the overall functional architecture for the SAP FICO landscape (S/4HANA).

• Act as the lead SME for integrating SAP FICO with other LoB systems.

• Define the architecture and design for complex cross-functional processes that touch FICO.

• Design and document interface solutions using various technologies (e.g., IDocs, BAPIs, APIs, OData services, SAP PI/PO or CPI).

• Provide technical governance and quality assurance for all FICO-related solution designs, configurations, and developments.

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure the FICO solution aligns with the overall IT strategy and roadmap.

• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new SAP technologies and integration patterns.

• Mentor senior BAs and developers, providing expert guidance on complex design challenges.

• Ensure clear and timely communication with all project stakeholders, from team members to senior leadership.

• Contribute hands-on to project problem-solving and strategic decisions when required.

• Understand data business processes and technical architecture of Airbus SAP landscape

• Acts as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future IT Products & Services and validates product designs.

• Collaborates with other Architects, systems analysts, and developers to deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting edge technologies.

• Defines models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions.

• Participates in all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support.

• Aligns architecture strategy with the organization's business goals and long- term strategic planning for the organization's Information systems.

• Performs the technical/functional design of the application and infrastructure components of a new solution according to the defined functional design.

• Provides an expertise on Business processes, change management transformation, function improvement and technology enablement for Business processes reengineering and supports architects during projects.

The position will have to drive the design of multiple applications at the same time. Global consistency has to be ensured and a transverse strategy has to be implemented in that way.
