You’ll be part of a global team supporting multiple SaaS environments that help make the world a safer place. We use Azure as our core, but host on multiple platforms due to specific needs and our rapid pace of development and acquisition. The environment is rapidly changing from IaaS to PaaS to server less. So you’ll need to both apply your current skillsets and learn new things on a daily basis to push the business forward. While you’ll ultimately need a diversity of expert level skills to succeed, having deep understanding and experience in just a couple of areas (monitoring, scripting, automation tools, etc.) may just get you in the door to a great career.



Job Description:
Summary:
A Senior Cloud Infrastructure & Reliability Engineer is expected to be the guardian of cloud infrastructure security and reliability. Their primary mission is to lead patching and vulnerability remediation across Windows, Linux, databases, and Azure services. Alongside this, they manage infrastructure operations, ensure resilience through disaster recovery and backup strategies, and provide advanced support for SaaS application hosted on cloud workloads, networking, and applications. This role demands deep expertise in Azure, strong OS administration skills, and the ability to collaborate across security, DevOps, and IT teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Focus Areas – Primary:

  • Lead patching and vulnerability remediation across Windows, Linux, databases, and Azure services.
  • Manage infrastructure and cloud operations, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Execute resilience and continuity strategies, including DR setups, failover exercises, and backup/restore operations.

2. Focus Areas – Broader:

  • Provide support for Sphera Cloud product suite, Cloud platform, and its underlying technologies
  • Provision and configure Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, web apps, SQL etc)
  • Set up new environments for clients and internal projects
  • Manage VNets, subnets, routing, peering, and hybrid connectivity
  • Collaborate with firewall teams for routing and security configuration
  • Handle AD/DNS management within Windows networking
  • Perform encryption migration, certificate renewal, and Key Vault secret updates
  • Troubleshoot Windows and Linux issues, including command-line expertise
  • Support application-related items (web apps, APIs, bootstrap setups)
  • Provide mid-level support for SaaS applications hosted on Azure, ensuring smooth operation and integration with infra
  • Experience with backup/restore, DR planning, and failover processes
  • Manage database migrations, corruption troubleshooting, and data restoration
  • Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI
  • Maintain awareness of pipelines for integration (not ownership)
  • Provide Tier-3 & Tier-4 support for cloud workloads and infrastructure incidents
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (DevOps, IT, SaaS Ops, Infosec) to support applications hosted in Azure
  • Drive change management processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Strive to meet the highest level of customer satisfaction by resolving customer issues in a professional and prompt manner
  • Able to present and communicate effectively on key findings to peers, management, and other stakeholders to keep positive and effective relationships
  • Be part of the team that supports customers Cloud deployments in 24x7 operational support system
  • Develop, implement, Support and expand technical documentation of processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Mandatory: Proven hands-on experience in patching and vulnerability remediation across Windows, Linux, databases, and cloud services.
  • Mandatory: Strong experience in Azure cloud operations (VMs, networking, storage, SQL, web apps, Key Vault, Kubernetes etc).
  • Mandatory: Hands-on expertise in Windows Server administration and/or Linux Server administration
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI for automation.
  • Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to work within a global cloud operation support team covering 24x7
  • Troubleshooting skills & abilities to learn new emerging technologies
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving, and growing environment.

Qualification:

  • 7–10 years of IT infrastructure experience, with hands-on experience on all the mandatory line items mentioned in the requirements.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104: Azure Administrator, AZ-305: Azure Solutions Architect) strongly preferred.
  • Additional certifications in Windows/Linux administration or networking (CCNA, RHCE, etc.) are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage patch cycles and vulnerability remediation at scale.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across security, firewall, DB, SaaS Ops, and application teams.
  • Good knowledge of Cloud Technologies and related emerging Technologies.
  • ITIL exposure and understanding
  • Have worked on customer facing environment with a focus on high quality of customer service
