Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Excel VBA Developer with strong expertise in Excel, VBA, Macros, and SQL, along with domain knowledge in handling financial data and basic accounting concepts. The role involves close collaboration with global teams and clients to analyze requirements, design data‑driven solutions, build proofs of concept, and ensure high‑quality project delivery following SDLC best practices.

Skills & Technical Expertise

Required Skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and automation
• Expert‑level knowledge of VBA and Macros
• Expert‑level understanding of SQL concepts and query optimization
• Strong understanding of relational databases
• In‑depth knowledge of SDLC concepts
• Domain knowledge in handling financial data such as revenue, expenses, P&L, balance sheets, forecasts, or MIS reporting
• Basic accounting knowledge, including understanding of debits/credits, financial statements, and reconciliation concepts

Additional Skills (Good to Have)

• Elementary to working knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI, or similar BI tools
• Basic exposure to Power BI is an added advantage

Responsibilities:

• Understand high level requirements from Global team and work closely with product owners to plan and budget projects accordingly

• Manage the assignment of specific responsibilities relating to project by coordinating with peers within the team for relevant roles and job functions

• Interact with client, do requirement analysis, propose solution, estimation, listing down assumptions and risks

• Create working proof of concept for projects

• Must be good in reviewing client/peer build data models and evaluate the pros and cons

• Basic exposure to Power BI or similar BI tool will be helpful

• Good understanding in relational databases

• Handle large database of in GBs with ability to write/edit/modify Alteryx Workflows and build reports using Alteryx Reporting

• Analyze complex data sets and convert them into the information which drives business decisions

• Express strong voice for data integrity and reporting quality utilizing best practices and industry standards

• Experience writing technical documentation and user guides; providing end-user training and support

• Driven and accountable self-starter, with ability to identify and communicate priorities, and work independently in a fast-paced industry in a rapidly growing team
