Job Description

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Guidewire Integration solutions across InsuranceSuite applications.

• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior/mid-level developers, and ensure adherence to coding standards through regular code reviews.

• Act as a subject matter expert for Guidewire integrations in client workshops, solution design, and technical reviews.

• Design and build integrations using Integration Gateway, App Events, and Cloud API, following Guidewire Cloud and security standards.

• Implement outbound REST integrations from InsuranceSuite using the Guidewire REST API Client, including:

  • Generating REST clients from OpenAPI specifications

  • Configuring fault tolerance, observability, and error handling

• Configure secure inbound and outbound REST API authentication, including:

  • OAuth 2.0 client credentials and Basic authentication

  • Scopes and JWT handling via Guidewire Hub / Identity Federation Hub

• Develop interfaces using REST APIs, event messaging, and batch/file processing, ensuring scalability, resilience, and supportability.

• Collaborate with BAs, PMs, architects, QA, and developers to translate business and integration requirements into clear technical designs and sprint deliverables.

• Define integration error handling, monitoring, logging, and traceability patterns for production support.

• Maintain concise, high-quality technical documentation (design specs, interface contracts, runbooks, deployment guides).

• Support build, deployment, and cutover activities for integration components across lower and production environments.

• Continuously leverage AI and data-driven insights (code assistance, test generation, performance analysis) to improve delivery quality and speed, and promote this mindset within the team.

Requirements:

• 6–10 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite Integration development.

• Guidewire Certified Specialist in InsuranceSuite Integrations; Associate InsuranceSuite Developer certification preferred.

• Experience with Guidewire Cloud technologies (Integration Gateway, App Events, Cloud API) and integration patterns.

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, messaging frameworks, and batch processes.

• Solid understanding of OOP concepts and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Willingness to work in shifts aligned with US time zones.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Experience with Guidewire Cloud is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
