Overview:

As an IT professional the SAP SD Business Analyst is competent to work on support and project work with minimal supervision as well as serving as a support and mentoring resource for others. The Business Analyst will analyze business processes, suggest improvements and design and implement said processes and improvements. Process documentation and management of user acceptance testing is also required. A firm technical background in SAP MM and EDI, coupled with experience in SAP Sales and Distribution, Warehouse Management and Finance is required.

The MM Functional Analyst will be responsible for the portfolio of SAP MM applications, transactions, and jobs and will be a critical part of the development, optimization and support of the business processes related to replenishment, forecasts, purchasing and master data SAP operation. The candidate will be actively involved in project, enhancement and support tasks related to the module’s business requirements; the incumbent will take part throughout the project and requirements life cycle (analysis, configuration, tests, implementation, and support) to implement the dynamic business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Working in the SAP Business Analyst area, responsible for providing tier 2 support in the MM  areas of SAP

• Propose and recommend value-added solutions to meet user needs.

• Configure the MM module and design new transactions/tables/jobs.

• Design and manage the interactions with the rest of the modules.

• Provide post-implementation support.

• Responsible for project work on SAP ranging from end to end management of small enhancements to contributing to large implementations on SAP.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 6+ Years of Hands-on practical experience with SAP customizing toolset (IMG) in the MM area.

• Conducts analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of the SAP enterprise wide systems in the MM functional area

• Implement new and support existing EDI solutions

• Implement new and maintain existing business solutions in the SAP MM area based on an analysis of the business requirements

• Build professional relationships with clients, management and team members located in various locations worldwide, to ensure efficient delivery of support, projects and enhancements

• Close integration with other SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, and WORKFLOW) and other SAP Business analysts in a small group

• Deliver clear and detailed specifications, and keep close communication with ABAP development team

• Conduct analysis of system specifications and uses the latest analysis/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes

• Develops conversions and system implementation plans using tools such as ECATS and LSMW.

• Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation

• Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards

• Coordinates system upgrade activity internally or externally, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.

• Should be open to work in Shift (8 AM to 5 PM EST)

Additional Skills (Advantageous):

• SAP Certified – MM

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required. 

• Fluent in English is a required with French language skills a desire.
