Position: Senior Manager – PED (Process Engineering)

Specific Responsibility:

 

•Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
•Capacity Augmentation: Demand Vs Capacity Study / Development of Manufacturing Strategy plan
•Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency enhancements. Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste.
•Support Production to improve the Fill rates /OTD & OTP (On time Performance) - Delivery Performance 
•Quality Enhancement Projects: Support Production /Quality to improve the process & Products
•Collaborate with Operational excellence team to improve OEE of the plants.
•Capex : Leading Capital projects and ensure on time installation of equipment’s and facilities 
•Cost Management: Monitor manufacturing costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or efficiency.
•Health and Safety Compliance: Support and Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all manufacturing personnel. Implement safety protocols, training programs, and risk mitigation measures.
•Hands on experience in shop floor manufacturing concepts and implantation of projects in the shop floor.  
•Conversant with lean concepts like 6 sigma, FMEA, RCA, 5S, Kaizen etc.,
•Exposure in designing the plant layouts, ability to decide capital equipment's based on the process flow
•Support implementation of new product development / Lead New Process Introduction
•Coordinate with global teams to implement the process changes
•Lead Product transfers – Identify, Plan and Implement Product transfers; deploy PPAP 
•To Identify and Implement Productivity improvement projects to meet the manufacturing Objectives
•Support Vendor Establishment to meet QCD expectations
•Knowledge of ISO Systems / TS 16949 / ISO 14001 preferred

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

•Minimum of 15 years of working experience in Manufacturing at least last 5 years in Manufacturing Engineering.
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engg) having minimum of 15 years in Engineering industry preferably cutting tool industry.   
•Actively initiate cross functional co-operation and communication, and maintain strong communication with all departments 
•Effective communication with shopfloor employees and cross functional departments to coordinate new process introduction
•Ability to deal with and establish rapport and trust at all levels 
•Experience in working in a fast-moving, technical business environment  
•Knowledge on SAP
