Senior Piping Layout Engineer

Reporting to the General Manager, the individual will work within the Global Advisory & Consulting team, in close collaboration with the organization’s vast engineering, technology, and scientific resource base. The successful candidate will be leading various offshore energy storage projects and have primary responsibility for the delivery of studies from concept through to Pre-Feed with a focus on offshore energy storage projects. Additionally, the candidate shall support the group’s overall sales effort through proposal/tender preparation, contract negotiation, and other client interfacing activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Engineer for the Quality plan for Layout/ Piping Design, preparing plan & schedule, estimate, progress measurement, weight control reports, contribute for the technical presentations and write ups
• Key deliverables includes:
  • Overall Plot Plan / Layout
  • Pipeline Routing Drawings
  • Piping Class Specifications
  • Piping Material Specification
  • Valve List
  • Insulation Specification
  • Line List
  • Preliminary Stress Analysis (pipeline, critical lines)
  • Tie‑in List
• Other deliverables includes:
  • Plan / review 3D-modeling using E3D/S3D for Mechanical, Safety, Soft Volumes, Escape & Transport Routes, Access & Material Handling Routes, Equipment modelling, Package modelling with required TP points, Piping and Pipe supports
  • Coordinate with other discipline design teams to achieve optimal use of the 3D modelling space, and minimise last minute changes to the design
  • Vendor drawing review for the static Equipment’s/ Rotating Equipment’s/ Packages and ensure all the Nozzle orientations, Vessel cleats Support requirements are in line with Design Requirements

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical/ Process Engineering, with exposure to Piping layout design and weight concepts with minimum 8 years of experience
• Possess relevant experience working on Feasibility Study/ Pre-FEED/ FEED projects with reputed International clients
• Experience in Onshore (LNG, power, CCS, refinery, petrochemical, bio-fuels, renewable, low carbon fuels) and Offshore projects
• Shall be well conversant with International Industry Codes such as European Codes, ASME, API etc
• Possess good communication & coordination skills
• Ability to understand client and project requirements and meet the project expectations in terms of quality and schedule
