Senior Quality Specialist – Sales Order Management

Role Overview

This is an important role in driving a Quality‑First culture across the SOM function. This role is accountable for conducting quality reviews, ensuring process integrity, enabling compliance, and continuously improving order management workflows. The Quality Specialist partners closely with sales, SOM, Engineering, Finance, and key stake-holders to enhance accuracy, eliminate defects, and improve customer and revenue outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Review & Assurance

  • Perform quality checks for CAA, billing and entitlement Cases, Compliance Tickets, and all entitlement activities.

  • Review errors flagged by the Business Rules Engine; investigate and ensure timely resolution.

  • Verify adherence to SOPs, documentation standards, and quality benchmarks.

  • Maintain a culture that promotes open communication, continuous learning, and speak‑up behaviors.

2. Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring defects, root causes, and systemic process gaps through structured analysis.

  • Collaborate with SOM, Engineering teams, and SMEs to eliminate waste, reduce rework, and streamline workflows.

  • Support the design, testing, and deployment of new business rules, automations, and workflow enhancements.

  • Maintain updated process documentation, SOPs, and internal control mechanisms.

3. Stake-holder & Governance Management

  • Publish weekly/monthly quality dashboards, insights, and trend reports.

  • Represent the Quality function in calibration sessions, cross-team reviews, audits, and compliance checkpoints.

  • Influence stake-holders without authority and drive alignment on quality priorities and improvement actions.

4. Quality Metrics Ownership

Ensure delivery against key Quality indicators, including:

  • Input & Output Error Rates

  • Rework %

  • Compliance adherence

  • SLA / Turnaround-time for quality-related issues

Ensure that quality outcomes directly support revenue enablement, billing accuracy, entitlement integrity, and customer experience.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Experience in Sales Order Management, Commercial Operations, Order-to-Cash, or Finance.

  • Strong understanding of Customer Admin Activities (CAA), Cases, Compliance workflows, and Entitlement processes.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and validate orders and contracts.

  • Exposure to QA tools, Python, SQL, dashboards, and  rule engines is an advantage.

  • High attention to detail and structured problem‑solving skills.

  • Ability to collaborate optimally across teams and influence outcomes without direct authority.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Commerce, Finance, or equivalent experience.

  • Quality certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt are a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal.

  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Salesforce, or similar order management/CRM systems.

  • Good data interpretation and analytical reasoning skills.

  • Customer‑centric approach with strong stake-holder engagement.

  • Willingness to work in round the shifts depending on regional support needs.
