Senior Software Engineer (Oracle APEX)

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• At least 2 years hands on experience in Oracle APEX development, building data-driven web applications, reports, forms, dashboards, and workflows.
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including development of procedures, packages, functions, and triggers to support application logic.
• Experience working with Oracle Database (12c or higher preferred) and a solid understanding of relational database design and data modeling.
• Proven ability to optimize and tune SQL/PL/SQL for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

It would be great if you also had...

• Experience with Oracle APEX themes, templates, dynamic actions, and UI customization.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS as used within APEX applications.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and structured release processes.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments, including code reviews and CI/CD practices.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle APEX applications to support business processes and reporting needs.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL database objects, ensuring clean, secure, and maintainable application logic.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement and manage security, authentication, authorization, and data access controls within APEX applications.
• Troubleshoot application and database issues, support deployments and upgrades, and maintain technical documentation.
