Division

Global Sanctions & Embargoes Transformation & Governance Control (Transformation & Control) is a key contributor to protect the Bank from sanctions and embargoes risks. It manages and controls the risks in a proactive and professional manner.
  • The Sanctions Strategy, Change and Automation function consolidates strategic initiatives, change and automation activities in the sanctions and embargoes space ensuring effectiveness and efficiency.
  • The Service Operations (Operations) Profession is responsible for the delivery, oversight and management of functional teams undertaking operational and transaction-based processes, working within agreed policies, procedures, Key Performance and Risk Indicators. Operations objectives include designing and implementing a robust control environment that allows and drives efficient and effective processing. The environment should ensure we meet regulatory requirements and can verify the completeness and accuracy of all transactions and operational processes. The objectives include operational assurance on the integrity of the books & records and deliver effective service to our clients. Operations develop and maintain effective relationships across client and partner groups.

  

Overview

  • The TSMO Change profession is responsible for managing the CTB related tasks of GMO Regulatory Filtering areas and our key responsibility are focused on Release Management, Regulatory List Management, Good Guy Management, Parameter Management & Crisis Management for all Regulatory Filtering applications globally and predominantly work closely with IT/AFC stakeholders to deliver effective and efficiency related changes for all regions.
  • The position primarily requires proactive driving of regional function-specific projects and topics and support of global virtual team. It implies the interaction with senior management and diverse stakeholders across the organisation and effective challenge, where necessary.

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible to ensure high quality standards delivery protecting the bank from legal, regulatory and reputational risk within scope area
  • Actively contribute to develop automation / innovation ideas to increase efficiency
  • Support team lead to ensure timeliness is maintained and reports are distributed to all concerned after due checking.
  • Support the remediation of identified issues (e.g. audit issues, self-identified issues)

Your skills and experience

Key experience including qualifications:

  • Experience and/or academic degree in financial services industry with focus on sanctions and embargoes
  • Knowledge of the payments and/or securities and/or relevant experience in one or more specific technical areas, in particular in sanctions and embargoes
  • Strong Analytical and Database skills
  • Knowledge of the standard Microsoft Office applications as Outlook/Lotus Notes, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS PowerPoint

Key skills and competencies:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English with focus on problem solving and effective decision making
  • Ability to understand complex systems, products and processes and interpret complex information
  • Flexibility to operate effectively under pressure within a matrix environment with a high stakeholder complexity
  • Commitment to manage deadlines and work extended hours in a fast paced work environment
