ServiceNow Developer with Automation Tools

What success looks like in this role:

• Staying aligned with emerging technologies and proposing innovative solutions

• Building strong business cases to support the adoption of new technologies

• Designing and delivering technical architecture for automation technologies

• Integrating diverse technologies, tools, and platforms to meet use‑case requirements

• Translating business requirements and process workflows into modular technical designs

• Using programming and scripting languages to develop automation routines

• Creating and executing unit and integration test cases

• Collaborating with Architects to engineer new capabilities

• Following Agile/SDLC processes and adhering to development best practices

• Working with Automation Analysts, account teams, and customer teams to deploy automation workflows

• Participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with standards and alignment with best practices

• Ensuring automation routines meet technical design and performance expectations.

• Trains / mentors junior team members.

Required Skills

- Automation tools: ServiceNow Orchestrator / Flow Designer / AI Studio , Azure AI Foundry / Logic Apps , etc.

- Configuration management tools such as Ansible

- DevOps experience

- Expert documentation skills (Word, Adobe PDF)

- Expert presentation skills (PowerPoint)

- Expert programming using Python, JavaScript, PowerShell etc.

- Infrastructure administration (Windows, Linux/ Unix, MSSQL)

- Incident, Request, and Change management with ITILv3

- SDLC and Agile methodologies (SCRUM)

Optional Skills

- SQL (queries, stored procedures, DML)

- Reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI

- Comfortable using AI code gen and documentation tools

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

- Good understanding of infrastructure services experience (Compute/ Storage/ Network etc..)

- Experienced in automation programming and scripting languages

- Good knowledge on ITSM and ITIL process knowledge

- Proven expertise in designing and deploying automation routines

- Good leadership, communication, and mentorship skills
