Snowflake Admin

2–5 years of experience in Snowflake Administration or Data Warehouse management. Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and features. Proficiency in SQL and query performance tuning. Experience with data integration tools (Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, etc.). Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes. Experience with security implementation (RBAC, data masking, encryption). Familiarity with Snowflake utilities (Snowpipe, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning). Experience in monitoring and cost management within Snowflake. Snowflake Certifications (e.g., Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification). Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines. Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or automation tools. Exposure to data governance tools and frameworks. Experience in handling large-scale datasets and performance optimization. Administer and maintain the Snowflake data warehouse environment. Manage user roles, access controls, and security policies (RBAC, data masking, encryption). Monitor system performance, query optimization, and warehouse scaling. Configure and manage virtual warehouses, resource monitors, and cost optimization. Implement data loading and unloading processes (Snowpipe, COPY commands, external stages). Manage data sharing, replication, and failover strategies across regions/accounts. Troubleshoot issues related to performance, connectivity, and data pipelines. Implement backup and recovery strategies and ensure data availability. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects for system improvements. Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Python/Shell) or Snowflake procedures. Ensure governance, compliance, and best practices for data security and usage.
