We are currently seeking a Software Development Senior Specialist to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Azure

Role Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will join our Cloud Platform Engineering team to bridge the gap between software development and systems engineering. This role is designed for an experienced professional who can ensure our cloud-native services are scalable, resilient, and highly available across a multi-cloud landscape. You will be responsible for architecting and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that powers our global services, utilizing modern SRE principles to manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

Responsibilities

· Partner with global engineering teams to design and deliver Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for mission-critical cloud services.

· Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using declarative tools like Terraform to ensure repeatable and auditable deployments across multiple regions and providers.

· Build and maintain comprehensive observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry to gain deep insights into system health, performance, and distributed tracing.

· Identify manual operational tasks ("toil") and develop software-based solutions or automated workflows to eliminate them through advanced scripting and engineering.

· Drive the end-to-end incident response process, participating in on-call rotations and leading blameless post-mortems to foster a culture of continuous improvement and reduce MTTR.

· Manage and optimize containerized workloads running on Kubernetes, focusing on autoscaling, resource quotas, and service mesh implementations.

· Collaborate with developers to integrate reliability safeguards into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI for safe, automated, and frequent deployments.

· Analyze cloud consumption data and performance metrics to perform proactive capacity planning and cost optimization (FinOps) across the cloud estate.

· Design, write, and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of global network paths and distributed systems.

· Participate in system design consulting and platform management to ensure reliability, security, and scalability are built-in from the initial architectural phase.

Basic Qualifications

· 4–8 years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering role, with a proven track record of managing production environments at scale.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field involving coding and systems engineering.

· Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including networking, IAM, and managed services.

· Proficiency in at least one high-level language such as Python, Go, or Java for building internal tools and automation.

· Strong experience with Bash or PowerShell for system-level automation and configuration management.

· Solid understanding of Linux/Unix fundamentals, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S), and the architecture of distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications

· Extensive experience with Azure-specific SRE practices, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Kusto Query Language (KQL).

· Hands-on experience managing and scaling Windows 365 (Cloud PC) or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including image management and performance tuning.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Intune for automated policy application and configuration consistency across virtualized endpoints.

· Experience managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters, including cluster upgrades, security hardening, and CNI/CSI configuration.

· Experience with GitOps workflows and tools to manage infrastructure and application state.

· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior team members on SRE best practices.
