The Community You Will Join:

The CRM Engineering team builds world-class tools that drive growth and foster meaningful  relationships between Airbnb and its community, including Hosts, Guests, Law Enforcement, Government Regulators, Local Community Leaders, and more. This team tackles some of the most challenging and unique problems faced by our business. Here are a few examples:

• Growth Platform: Designed to increase supply and retain existing hosts.
• Policy Platform: Enables Airbnb to engage with regulatory bodies across the globe regarding short-term rental regulations. This platform tracks regulations that impact the Airbnb business and provides intelligence to address unique business challenges.
• Community Platform: Establishes a social platform to drive community enablement, collaboration, and success.
• Agent Tools: Empowers agents to understand and resolve issues that customers are unable to address on their own.
• Aircover Claims Platform: Facilitates the processing of claims for Aircover insurance products, offering protection to both hosts and guests.

 

The Difference You Will Make:

Our team is building an AI driven growth platform to serve as a true growth engine for Airbnb's supply expansion. This platform will leverage AI-driven intelligence to provide sales insights, meet diverse supply needs, help current hosts achieve greater success on the Airbnb platform, and build lead funnels to attract more high-quality hosts to Airbnb.

There is immense potential for AI-driven initiatives to revolutionize the supply funnel at Airbnb. This role presents an exciting opportunity to create a unique and impactful platform that addresses complex business challenges.

In this position, you will closely collaborate with and influence stakeholders across technical, business, product, and design teams to identify, scope, and deliver critical initiatives. As you lead efforts across these stakeholders and work with a distributed team of engineers, you will also actively contribute to prototyping, evaluating, and implementing solutions. A Typical Day:

• Work with cross functional partners to understand product requirements and translate them into technical solutions, help create the roadmap for the projects
• Discuss and align technical specifications and implementation details with other engineers, including cross-team engineers from Global
• Write clean, testable and maintainable code to implement the features
• Perform tech design and code reviews and advice/mentor other engineers
• When you are the POC of the projects, drive the delivery, communicate the status to stakeholders and ensure the overall quality

Your Expertise:

• 3+ years industry experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.
• Exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale system/product (e.g., well-designed APIs, high volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms).
• Extensive experience working with open-source code, or coursework in any of the following languages: Java, Kotlin, Python, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Javascript / TypeScript.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work well within engineering organization and cross functions.
• Love collaborating via code reviews and architecture discussions, and are motivated to improve their teammates’ productivity
• Comfortable with tackling ambiguous problems and unblocking yourself.
• Focus on building high quality products, every one of our flows affects the business bottom line.
• Data driven in how you solve problems and validate you’ve solved them correctly.
