Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

Software Engineer III -.Net/Webforms

We are looking for a hands-on individual contributor software engineer with deep expertise in .NET (modern & legacy) who can design, modernize, and actively build enterprise systems while contributing to AI-assisted engineering adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

· Own end-to-end architecture across ASP.NET Core APIs, legacy Web Forms/MVC, worker services,

  workflow   systems (WF4), and SSRS reporting

· Drive modernization of .NET Framework 4.8 systems to scalable, API-driven architectures

· Actively contribute production-quality code and lead complex debugging and performance tuning

· Define and enforce standards for security, API design, logging, and data access

· Review code, collaborate with the team and serve as technical escalation point

· Contribute to adoption of AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot, prompts, AI governance)

Required Skills:

· C# (expert), .NET Framework 4.8, .NET / ASP.NET Core Web API

· Legacy tech: ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC 4, WCF/ASMX

· Data: SQL Server, EF Core, EF EDMX, ADO.NET

· Security: JWT, MSAL/Azure Identity, WS-Security

· Integrations: REST, SOAP, XML

· Front-end libraries: jQuery, Bootstrap, Kendo UI (for legacy support)

· DevOps and Tooling: Azure Devops (Git, pipelines YAML), CI/CD pipelines, NuGet packages, Visual Studio, GitHub

AI & Productivity Tooling:

· GitHub Copilot (Ask & Agent modes)

· Copilot instruction & context files

· AI-assisted refactoring and migration workflows

· AI-driven documentation generation

· Jira + Copilot / Agent integrations

· Strong understanding of AI limitations, validation, and risk

Soft Skills:

· Strong ownership and accountability for technical outcomes.

· Ability to balance delivery speed and architectural quality in complex and real-world systems

· Clear and effective verbal and written communication with developers, testers, architects, product owners

  and stakeholders.

· Strong documentation habits for complex technical systems.

· Hands-on mindset with collaborative approach across developers, QA and product teams.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to understand and provide resolution to complex problems.

· Proactive in asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and raising risks early.

· Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new tools and practices.

· Focus on quality, operational stability, and responsible use of AI tools.

Nice to Have:

· Experience modernizing large legacy monoliths

· Exposure to containers/cloud-native patterns

· Contribution in AI adoption in regulated enterprise environments

Education: 

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related area
