Android Embedded Software Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with android systems and applications, with managing issues and research across Android.
• Experience with Graphics Processing Unit (GPU)-level programming.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with mobile and desktop gaming.
• Ability to build performant, and secure systems.
• Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills.

Our team is responsible for delivering a quality gaming experience allowing the users to play their Android and native games across form factors.

In this role, you will manage cross-system integration and performance tests across the operating system (e.g., input, graphics, audio, etc.). You will help the small team move at a pace to hit deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features to ensure a performant, reliable multi-platform gameplay experience to delight the users.
• Write and review code, design docs, and test plans to ensure quality work.
• Partner with product management, program management, and User Experience (UX) to solve problems and deliver business impact.
• Solve problems that balance technical considerations (e.g., maintainability, scalability, reliability, availability, efficiency, security) with business/product requirements.
• Work on software development, deployment and production practices.
