As a Functional SME, the IT Asset Manager provides enterprise leadership across Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). This role operates with a high degree of independence, owning complex governance processes, driving optimization strategies, and ensuring compliance across the global asset lifecycle.
The individual serves as the primary SME for ITAM architecture, data integrity, reconciliation logic, integrations, and lifecycle controls—driving automation, financial transparency, compliance assurance, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
•    Own and govern HAM and SAM processes end-to-end, including procure-to-retire lifecycle controls
•    Provide architectural oversight for ITAM data models, reconciliation rules (IRE), and CMDB alignment
•    Ensure integrity of asset, entitlement, and CI data through strong governance and reconciliation controls
•    Lead software compliance reviews, publisher true-ups, and audit readiness initiatives
•    Drive hardware lifecycle optimization, refresh planning, and asset disposition governance
•    Oversee and optimize integrations between ServiceNow ITAM and endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune) and other discovery/data sources
•    Drive transformation of ITAM intake and operational queues through automation and AI-enabled solutions to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy
•    Develop KPIs/OKRs for compliance posture, reclamation, utilization, and cost avoidance
•    Identify financial, licensing, and operational risks and execute mitigation strategies
•    Lead cross-functional initiatives with Procurement, Finance, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams
•    Mentor peers and represent ITAM in enterprise governance and transformation programs

Required Skills & Experience
•    10+ years of IT Asset Management experience in large, complex enterprise environments
•    Strong expertise in both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM)
•    5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM (HAM Pro / SAM Pro preferred)
•    Strong understanding of Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and CMDB-ITAM data alignment
•    Hands-on experience integrating ServiceNow with Intune and similar endpoint/discovery platforms
•    Deep understanding of software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, SaaS vendors)
•    Experience managing publisher audits, entitlement reconciliation, and compliance reporting
•    Strong financial and cost-optimization acumen
•    Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes and CMDB interdependencies
•    Excellent analytical, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills
•    Proven ability to operate independently and drive enterprise-wide improvements

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications
•    ITIL Foundation Certification
•    Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or equivalent
•    ServiceNow ITAM certifications (HAM Pro / SAM Pro)
•    Experience leveraging automation and AI capabilities within ITAM platforms
•    Experience supporting global enterprise environments with complex licensing structures
