With 3–7 years of experience in technical writing within the software or hardware industry, you thrive on bridging the gap between technical experts and end users. You possess a strong academic background in electronics, computing, engineering, or a related discipline, and are adept at quickly grasping new technologies and product domains. Your experience working with authoring tools like FrameMaker, and your command of the English language, set you apart as a consummate professional.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Developing, writing, and updating user documentation—including technical specifications, engineering schematics, application notes, and user guides—for industry-leading Digital and Mixed Signal IPs such as USB, PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, HDMI, and MIPI.
• Collaborating closely with design engineering teams to gather technical content and transform it into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation.
• Planning, organizing, and managing documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to established style guides and documentation processes.
• Independently driving documentation initiatives while proactively seeking input and feedback from multi-site teams across the organization.
• Ensuring all documentation aligns with Synopsys’ brand, style, and quality standards, and contributes to a seamless customer experience.
• Adopting and championing best practices in technical writing, including content structuring, version control, and continuous improvement of documentation workflows.
• Contributing to the documentation roadmap and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and close documentation gaps.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, science, hardware, computing, software, physics, mathematics, engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 3–7 years of demonstrated technical writing experience in the software or hardware industry.
• Proficiency in authoring tools such as FrameMaker (Structured or Unstructured).
• Exceptional English writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new technologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with documentation standards, version control, and best practices.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Verilog, ASIC digital design flows, TCL, XSLT, XPATH, DITA, DocBook, IP-XACT XML schemas, FrameScript, ExtendScript, FDK, or DITA Open Toolkit.
