Job Title: Staff Platform Engineer
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore

Business & Team: IB&M Tech

Impact & Contribution: As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be working in a cross-functional squad responsible for the technical design, development, and rollout of key enhancements to our end-users and provide technical squad leadership. You’re constantly pushing the boundaries to help deliver outcomes that define future industry trends and your passion for outstanding user experience and ability to solve complex problems is key to developing high quality technical solutions

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Contributes to a culture where quality, excellence and openness are championed. 

• Have natural drive to educate, communicate and positively influence various stakeholder groups. 

• Are constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems. 

• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, create a culture of ownership and share knowledge to uplift and improve software development practices. 

• Lead the teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Contribute on Platform design and solution artefacts at a domain level.

Essential Skills:

• Min 12+ years of experience in IT

• Proven ability to build Temporal workflows (or similar workflow-orchestration tools) using durable state management and event-driven flows.

• Experience with API lifecycle management and microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in Python, with flexibility to work across other languages (TypeScript preferred).

• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including integrating multiple AWS services into applications.

• Experience containerising applications and orchestrating containers using ECS/EKS, including packaging and deploying to AWS.

• Designed and built CI/CD pipelines.

• API testing experience using tools such as Postman and URL.

• Event streaming/handling experience using platforms such as Kafka.

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
