Studio Assistant Director – Corporate Video Studio

Role Overview

The Studio Director will lead EY’s flagship in-house corporate video studio based at the EY Coral office in Bengaluru. This senior leadership role is accountable for the strategic direction, operational excellence, creative quality and scalable delivery of video content that supports EY’s leadership messaging, brand storytelling, learning, events and internal communications.

The role combines studio operations leadership, team management, creative oversight and technology-driven innovation, with a strong focus on utilization efficiency, quality consistency and responsible adoption of AI-enabled production capabilities. The Studio Director will ensure the studio operates with newsroom-level agility while maintaining EY’s brand, risk and governance standards.

Studio Leadership & Operations

  • Provide end-to-end leadership for the corporate video studio, overseeing daily operations, scheduling, governance and quality benchmarks.
  • Own studio readiness and delivery across leadership communications, town halls, learning programs, interviews, panel discussions and event recordings.
  • Establish and continuously refine studio workflows, production standards and operating models to ensure consistency, reliability and brand alignment.
  • Always enable a “shoot-ready” environment through strong operational discipline and proactive planning.
  • Monitor studio performance and optimize turnaround times, throughput and delivery outcomes using data-driven insights.

Utilization, Efficiency & Capacity Management

  • Own studio utilization planning, capacity management and demand forecasting to maximize effective use of studio time, talent and infrastructure.
  • Define, track and report utilization benchmarks, service-level agreements (SLAs) and efficiency metrics across recording, editing and post-production.
  • Balance competing priorities from multiple stakeholders while maintaining predictable delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce rework, improve first-time-right delivery and enhance overall cost and time efficiency.

Team Management & Capability Building

  • Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary studio team including producers, videographers, editors, engineers and technical specialists.
  • Set clear performance expectations, utilization targets and development plans aligned to studio and organizational goals.
  • Foster a high-performance, accountable and collaborative culture focused on quality, speed, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Support capability building across creative, technical and operational skill sets to future-proof studio delivery.

Creative & Production Oversight

  • Provide creative leadership and final quality assurance across all studio productions.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate business objectives into effective video formats, visual storytelling approaches and production strategies.
  • Ensure all studio output aligns with EY’s brand guidelines, visual identity, tone of voice and audience expectations.
  • Uphold consistent visual and editorial standards across recurring formats, leadership communications and large-scale productions.

Technology & AI-Enabled Delivery

  • Leverage modern production technologies and AI-enabled tools to streamline studio workflows, including scripting assistance, transcription, captioning, editing, versioning and localization.
  • Drive responsible adoption of automation and AI to improve scalability, consistency and turnaround times while preserving creative integrity and brand quality.
  • Champion compliant use of AI in line with EY technology, risk, data protection and governance policies.
  • Continuously evaluate and modernize studio infrastructure, platforms and tools to support future-ready, enterprise-scale delivery.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders across Brand, Marketing & Communications, Talent, Learning, Assurance, Consulting and other service lines.
  • Advise leaders and teams on video strategy, formats, creative approaches and production planning.
  • Manage expectations, timelines and outcomes with confidence, clarity and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, partners and production support when required.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure all studio operations comply with EY’s risk management, information security, confidentiality and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain strong governance over content handling, data security and studio processes.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Contribution

  • Stay current with industry trends in corporate video production, studio operations, AI-assisted delivery and digital storytelling.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance studio capability, operational efficiency and creative impact.
  • Contribute to the broader EY content, brand and experience strategy through excellence in video delivery.

Skills & Experience

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in video production, broadcast, studio operations or corporate content environments.
  • Proven experience leading and managing creative, technical or production teams.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end studio production, post-production workflows and utilization management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent operational judgment, attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred

  • Experience in a large corporate, professional services or global organization.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled or automation-driven tools in video production or content operations.
  • Experience supporting learning, events, internal communications or leadership messaging.

Education

  • Relevant certifications in production, media management or leadership are an advantage.
