We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive  DB2/PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of database management, but more importantly, they will demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and grow within the role. The candidate will work closely with more experienced team members, gaining hands-on experience and insights into best practices in database administration.

List of Key Accountabilities:

• Database Maintenance: Assist in the routine maintenance of DB2/PostgreSQL databases, including monitoring performance, backups, and recovery processes.
• Data Entry and Management: Support data entry tasks and ensure data integrity by performing regular checks and updates.
• Query Optimization: Learn to write and optimize DB2/PostgreSQL queries under the guidance of senior team members to improve database performance.
• Documentation: Help maintain documentation for database processes, procedures, and configurations to ensure clarity and continuity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to understand database requirements and assist in implementing solutions.
• Learning and Development: Actively seek opportunities to learn from senior staff and participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills.
• Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving database issues, escalating problems to senior staff as necessary.
