Position Overview:

We’re transforming business travel technology. Amex GBT gives travelers access to their choice of flights, trains, hotels, and more from different suppliers within the travel policy set by their company. The richness of choice is exciting to users, and even more of an attractive technical challenge.

As a Technical Lead, you’ll scope, design, implement, and monitor the infrastructure solutions in our big data environment, which hosts reporting tools for multiple global clients. We’re looking for someone innovative, who has both technical experience and the ability to see the bigger picture.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Defining the technology stack, system architecture, and coding standards.
• Guiding developers, performing code reviews, and mentoring team members to improve productivity.
• Analyze system requirements and prioritize technical delivery tasks for Asia Pacific development team.  Working with Product Managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Write clean, testable code using .NET programming languages to support Asia Pacific applications and platforms.
• Build, maintain and uplift .NET websites for travel related applications.
• Develop clear and concise technical specifications and documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Review and refactor .Net applications and associated code.
• Test and debug Travel .NET applications.
• Document development and operational procedures and ensure its adherence across the portfolio.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• At least 5+ years and experience in application design and architecture.
• Experience in designing scalable, maintainable, and robust software systems.
• Ability to guide, motivate, and mentor team members, along with strong communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of .NET languages including C#, Visual Basic.NET, ASP.Net, .NetCore.
• Proficient with front-end development languages and frameworks including React JS, JavaScript, HTML5, JQuery, Bootstrap and CSS.
• Knowledge of various software design patterns e.g. MVC, MVVM, thick client, thin client
• Experienced in AI Development toolkit like Claude etc.
• Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and methodologies (test automation experience preferable)
• Expertise in SQL Server programming and tuning
• Experienced in cloud native applications and development practices (Azure)
• Ability to track & manage project tasks and deliverables to successful closure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and/or experience working in an Agile delivery environment.

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related discipline.
• ITIL or other service management frameworks
• Knowledge of travel industry and travel related technologies.
