American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is seeking a Technical Lead/Architect to join our Global Business Consulting (GBC) Innovation and Technology team. In this key role, you will provide technical leadership and oversight for the architecture design and transformation of our cutting-edge consulting applications.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the architecture and design of highly scalable, robust application solutions to support GBC's data-driven consulting offerings
• Drive technical innovation by evaluating, selecting, and integrating cutting-edge technologies into GBC's technology stack
• Provide strategic technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams throughout the complete project lifecycle
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to analyze complex business requirements and architect optimal technical solutions
• Establish and enforce technical best practices, development standards, and governance frameworks for application development and data management
• Oversee technical decision-making and ensure alignment with business objectives and industry standards

What We’re Looking For

• Leadership Experience: 7-10 years of progressive software development experience with demonstrated technical leadership in enterprise environments
• Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in front-end and backend development (React, .NET C#, JSON, HTML/HTML5, CSS3, XML, AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, AngularJS, Selenium, Python ) for high-availability, high-performance enterprise systems
• Architecture Skills: Proven experience designing and implementing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Cloud Services :Hands-on experience architecting solutions using AWS services with understanding of cloud-native patterns
• Modern Technologies: Expertise in serverless architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code
• Data Platforms leading BI/Data platform initiatives including data architecture, modeling, ETL pipeline design, and advanced analytics using tools like Tableau and Alteryx a significant Plus
• Emerging Technologies: AI/ML implementation experience preferred
• Process Leadership: Proven track record implementing agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Communication: Exceptional problem-solving, analytical thinking, and stakeholder communication skills
• Must be willing and able to work in 2nd shifts (3:00 PM IST to 12:00 AM IST) and occasional weekends as required.
• Must be willing to work from Bangalore office location minimum 3 days in a week.
• Education: Bachelor's degree  in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
