You will be providing legal and corporate secretarial services as a key member of the Corporate, Securities and M&A section of HPE’s Legal Department (CSM&A).

You will be providing legal and corporate secretarial services as a key member of the Corporate, Securities and M&A section of HPE’s Legal Department (CSM&A).
In your role as a WW Paralegal and India Company Secretary, you will be involved in day-to-day and annual corporate compliance of world-wide holding and operating entities overseeing matters such as powers of attorneys or adoption of annual accounts including managing external counsel budget wherever required. As India Company Secretary, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, applicable Secretarial Standards issued by ICSI, and other corporate laws in India.
You will also be working on a wide variety of transactions supporting CSM&A Attorneys involving intra-group entities, such as distributions, contributions, mergers, liquidations as well as corporate, governance, finance and integration matters on a WW basis.
You will report to a CSM&A Director based in Geneva, Switzerland.
The role requires working closely with HPE’s business units and mainly to the Global Tax, Controllership and Treasury teams in HPE.
The position is based in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate is a member of the Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI) with 2 to 5 years’ experience in corporate law in a top tier private law firm or the legal department of a large corporation.
In addition the following are essential:
- Excellent presentation, writing and organizational skills;
- Excellent people and communication skills;
- Ability to adapt to a large and complex structure with varying priorities;
- Ability to work under pressure to deadlines;
- Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize and follow through on numerous projects.
A keen interest in technology (in particular an interest in utilizing technology to streamline legal processes) is a plus.
What you need to bring:
Education:
Graduate degree from a recognized university, with strong academic background; Membership of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India is a must.
Experience: 2-5 years in a top tier firm or in an in-house legal department of a large corporation.
Language: Fluent English, as well as excellent written and spoken language skills. Skills in any other language commonly used in business settings is a plus.
