Position: Psychologist (Special Children Department)

Job Summary:-

The Psychologist will work with children having developmental, behavioral, emotional, learning, and social difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech delay, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, Down Syndrome, and other developmental conditions. The role involves assessment, therapy planning, behavioral intervention, parent counseling, and multidisciplinary coordination to support the overall development and emotional well-being of special children.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Conduct psychological and behavioral assessments for children with developmental and learning difficulties.
• Observe and evaluate children’s cognitive, emotional, social, communication, and behavioral functioning.
• Develop individualized therapy and intervention plans according to each child’s needs.
• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions for children with Autism, ADHD, behavioral challenges, anxiety, emotional difficulties, and developmental delays.
• Implement behavior modification techniques, attention-building activities, emotional regulation strategies, and social skill training.
• Support children in improving communication, attention span, learning readiness, interaction, and adaptive behavior.
• Maintain assessment records, therapy notes, progress reports, and treatment documentation.
• Guide parents regarding child behavior management, emotional support, home programs, and developmental strategies.
• Coordinate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, special educators, and behavioral therapists for multidisciplinary intervention.
• Participate in case discussions, parent meetings, workshops, and awareness programs organized by the center.
• Monitor child progress regularly and modify therapy goals as required.
• Ensure a safe, child-friendly, supportive, and positive therapeutic environment.

Required Qualifications:-

• Master’s Degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Child Psychology.
• Experience working with special children or pediatric cases preferred.
• Knowledge of developmental disorders, behavioral therapy, and child psychology.
• Strong communication, observation, and counseling skills.
• Patient, compassionate, and child-centered approach.
