CAD Operator

Role: CAD Operator – Cutting & Moulding | Women's Innerwear Manufacturing

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and optimize markers for fabric cutting to maximize utilization and minimize waste
• - Calculate fabric consumption accurately per style, per size, and across marker plans for costing and procurement
• - Generate cutting plans and coordinate with cutting floor for smooth execution
• - Manage lay planning as per production orders and fabric width/shrinkage data
• - Support moulding department with cut part planning for bra cups and moulded components
• - Maintain records of marker efficiency, fabric usage, and cut order data
• - Ensure timely data entry for cutting reports and MIS

Requirements:

• 3–5 years experience as CAD Operator in garment manufacturing (cutting dept preferred)
• - Proficient in Gemini CAD or Morgan CAD; Lectra/Gerber/Optitex also considered
• - Must be able to calculate fabric consumption accurately – core responsibility
• - Experience in innerwear, knitwear, or stretch fabric categories preferred
• - Understanding of fabric behaviour – shrinkage, width variation, grain lines
• - Basic MS Excel for reports and tracking
