Job Description
- Business Growth & Portfolio Management: Develop strategies to acquire new clients, drive loan disbursements (often via Joint Liability Groups), and grow savings accounts. Maintain a healthy, high-quality loan portfolio.
- Delinquency & Recovery Operations: Monitor repayment schedules, conduct field visits, and coordinate with field officers to minimize non-performing assets (NPAs) and resolve overdue accounts.
- Risk Assessment & Compliance: Approve or reject loan applications. Enforce the standard 5 Cs of credit (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Conditions) and ensure strict adherence to microfinance regulations and internal risk policies.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Hire, train, and supervise field workers and administrative staff. Set branch targets, evaluate performance, and foster a highly motivated, productive team environment.
- Financial & Administrative Oversight: Manage daily cash flow, process weekly cash requisitions, and verify daily collection reports (DCR) and vouchers. Ensure the security and data protection of the branch.
- Customer Service & Financial Literacy: Lead pre-disbursement orientations, educate unbanked populations on financial literacy, and ensure excellent customer service to maintain high client retention rates.
