Job TitleLift Installation Technician / Elevator Installer

Job SummaryA Lift Installation Technician is responsible for installing, assembling, testing, and commissioning elevators, escalators, and moving walkways in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The role involves reading technical drawings, fitting mechanical and electrical components, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with site engineers and contractors.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstall elevator/lift systems according to technical specifications and safety standards
• Assemble and fit mechanical components such as guide rails, cabins, doors, motors, and counterweights
• Perform electrical wiring and control panel connections
• Read and interpret blueprints, installation manuals, and wiring diagrams
• Conduct testing, calibration, and commissioning of lift systems
• Troubleshoot installation-related issues and make necessary adjustments
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company procedures
• Coordinate with project managers, civil contractors, and clients on-site
• Maintain installation tools and equipment
• Prepare installation reports and documentation
• Required SkillsKnowledge of elevator/lift systems and components
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with safety regulations and PPE usage
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
• Time management and problem-solving ability
• QualificationsITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering preferred
• Experience in elevator installation or maintenance is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and hand tools
• Certification in safety training may be preferred
• ExperienceFresher to 5+ years depending on the role level
• Experience with passenger lifts, freight lifts, or escalators may be required
• Work EnvironmentConstruction sites, residential towers, malls, hospitals, and commercial buildings
• May require travel to project sites
