Job Description

  • Roles and Responsibilities of Physics Teacher (Class XI & XII)1. Academic ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver lectures as per the prescribed syllabus (CBSE/CHSE or relevant board).
  • Ensure conceptual clarity in topics like Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics, Optics, and Modern Physics.
  • Prepare yearly, monthly, and daily lesson plans.
  • Conduct regular class tests, unit tests, and revisions.
  • Complete syllabus within the academic schedule.
  • 2. Practical & Laboratory WorkConduct Physics practical classes as per curriculum guidelines.
  • Demonstrate experiments and ensure students perform them accurately.
  • Maintain laboratory records, stock registers, and equipment.
  • Guide students in preparing practical files and records.
  • Ensure safety measures in the laboratory.
  • 3. Student DevelopmentIdentify slow learners and provide remedial classes.
  • Encourage bright students for competitive exams like JEE/NEET.
  • Develop analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivate students for scientific thinking and innovation.
  • 4. Assessment & EvaluationPrepare question papers, assignments, and worksheets.
  • Evaluate answer scripts fairly and provide feedback.
  • Maintain student performance records and progress reports.
  • Conduct viva voce and internal assessments.
  • 5. Classroom ManagementMaintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
  • Ensure regular attendance and punctuality of students.
  • Address behavioral issues appropriately.
  • 6. Use of Teaching AidsUse smart boards, simulations, and models for better understanding.
  • Integrate digital tools and multimedia in teaching.
  • Demonstrate real-life applications of physics concepts.
  • 7. Administrative DutiesAttend staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Maintain attendance registers and academic records.
  • Assist in examination duties and school activities.
  • Coordinate with other faculty members.
  • 8. Communication with ParentsUpdate parents about student performance.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings.
  • Guide parents on improving student learning outcomes.
  • 9. Professional DevelopmentStay updated with latest developments in Physics and teaching methods.
  • Participate in seminars, webinars, and training programs.
  • Improve teaching strategies continuously.
  • 10. Co-curricular InvolvementOrganize science exhibitions, quizzes, and projects.
  • Encourage participation in Olympiads and competitions.
  • Support school-level academic events.
