Job Description
- Study and understand all project documents, including General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, P&ID Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical specifications.
- Prepare production and manufacturing plans in line with project schedules and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the Stores Department for material requisition, issuance, and availability to ensure uninterrupted production activities.
- Allocate daily work assignments to technicians, fabricators, welders, fitters, and other production personnel.
- Monitor production progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Ensure fabrication and assembly activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Conduct stage-wise inspections as per the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) department for inspections and approvals.
- Perform equipment and system testing as per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Verify completed systems using approved checklists and maintain all inspection, testing, and production records.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Project teams to resolve production-related issues.
- Monitor manpower utilization, machine efficiency, and production productivity to achieve optimum performance.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and statutory regulations within the production area.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and traceability of materials throughout the manufacturing process.
- After completion of testing and before dispatch, verify material reconciliation and return excess or unused materials to the store.
