Manage high impact, complex sustaining & transfer projects that enables Philips to reduce risk, improve profitability, align with Philips’ strategic supply base and optimize supply chain flexibility. The primary function within this role is to execute engineering activities through the course of fast-paced, high-quality transfer and sustaining projects.
You will be responsible for driving meaningful and innovative product development, generating ideas/concepts in feature development to improve quality and reduce cost, as well as performing the role of a technical lead in taking the product development through manufacturing release while transferring products between suppliers and managing sustaining of different devices by following PDLM-MLD process.
In this role, you can design, develop and maintain MR System components and products. You are responsible for identifying appropriate designs for overall system, sub-system, and component levels. You will ensure that your design is consistent with the higher-level architecture and requirements.
You are responsible for
· Requirements, Design, implementation, test, and integration of her/his module/sub-system in accordance with the higher-level architectural Requirements and - Design specifications, easy to maintain, extendible (components and modules) and re-usable.
· Ensure that the proposed design has the safety, reliability and quality features built in.
· Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the performance, quality, and cost criteria.
· Develop concept and feasibility 3D models using CREO CAD.
· Apply GD&T and perform Tolerance stack-up analysis for components/Sub-system.
· Perform hand calculations to support the design and sound knowledge of Strength of Materials
· Ensures that there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design.
· Ensures that his design modules meet the product certification requirements.
· Adheres to project deliverable commitments.
· Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts.
· Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering with 8-12 years’ experience.
Knowledge/ Hands on in 3D CAD tools like CREO.
Knowledge/ Hands on in thermal, FEA is a plus.
Knowledge/ Hands on in MS Office, formulae based excel calculations and power point presentations.
Knowledge of FDA and IEC Standards is a plus.
Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently.
Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members.
Be structured and self-organized.
Positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
