Workshop Manager (New TVS Dealership)

Agrim TVS is gearing up to launch a landmark two-wheeler dealership in the Tricity region, with a presence at two of Chandigarh's most iconic locations – ISBT 17 Chowk and Tribune Chowk.

Role Overview

Own end-to-end service center operations—ensuring high-quality service delivery, efficient workshop functioning, strong customer satisfaction, and achievement of service revenue targets. This role is responsible for managing technicians, workflow, and overall workshop performance.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Operations Management

• Plan and manage daily workshop operations and job allocation
• Ensure optimal utilization of technicians and bays
• Monitor job progress and ensure timely delivery of vehicles
• Reduce turnaround time (TAT) and avoid bottlenecks

Service Quality & Customer Experience

• Ensure high standards of service quality and workmanship
• Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure resolution
• Monitor repeat jobs and minimize rework
• Maintain strong customer satisfaction and retention

Team Management

• Supervise service advisors, technicians, and support staff
• Monitor productivity and efficiency of technicians
• Conduct daily briefings and performance reviews
• Identify training needs and improve team capability

Revenue & Business Growth

• Drive service revenue (labour, spare parts, value-added services)
• Improve upselling through service advisors
• Monitor job card value and service conversion rates
• Ensure achievement of monthly service targets

Inventory & Spare Parts Coordination

• Coordinate with parts team for availability of spares
• Ensure minimal delays due to parts unavailability
• Track fast-moving and critical parts requirements

Process & Compliance

• Ensure all job cards are properly created and closed in system
• Maintain service records and documentation
• Follow OEM guidelines and standard processes
• Ensure safety standards and workshop discipline

Administrative & Operational Control

• Maintain workshop infrastructure, tools, and equipment
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of workshop
• Monitor attendance and discipline of workshop staff
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations

Requirements

1. 3–5 years in automobile service operations
2. Prior experience in managing a workshop/service center preferred
3. Strong leadership and team management
4. Good technical understanding of two-wheelers
5. Process-driven with operational discipline
6. Customer handling and problem-solving skills
7. Basic system/DMS knowledge
