Multi Skilled Technician (Housekeeping Equipment & Allied Services)

The Multi Skilled Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive, breakdown, and routine maintenance activities related to housekeeping machinery, basic plumbing works, electrical systems, and other allied station support services within metro stations. The role ensures operational readiness of housekeeping equipment and uninterrupted support services for safe, clean, and efficient station operations.

Housekeeping Machinery Maintenance

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of housekeeping machines such as:

• Scrubber dryers
• Vacuum cleaners
• Jet pressure machines
• Ride-on cleaning machines
• Carpet cleaning machines
• Wet & dry vacuum equipment

Inspect machinery regularly and ensure operational readiness.

• Identify faults and carry out minor repairs and component replacements.
• Coordinate with vendors/OEM service teams for major repairs and AMC support.
• Maintain equipment service records and maintenance logs.
• Electrical Maintenance Support
• Attend basic electrical complaints related to housekeeping equipment and station utility systems.
• Check power supply points, plugs, sockets, switches, MCBs, and extension boards.
• Ensure safe usage and handling of electrical equipment and cables.
• Report major electrical faults to the concerned maintenance team.

Plumbing & Allied Maintenance

Carry out minor plumbing repairs including:

• Tap and flush repairs
• Leak rectification
• Drain blockage clearing
• Water line maintenance
• Support upkeep of station restroom and utility infrastructure.

Routine Inspection & Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct daily inspection of equipment and allied systems.
• Ensure timely lubrication, cleaning, battery charging, and servicing of machines.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
• Ensure minimum downtime of machinery and support systems.

Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with housekeeping teams and station officials for complaint resolution.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare replacements, and machine performance.
• Assist in inventory monitoring of tools, consumables, and spare parts.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification : ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Fitter, Plumbing, Electronics, or relevant technical trade.

Experience : 1–3 years of experience in maintenance of housekeeping machinery, facility maintenance, station services, or commercial building maintenance preferred.

Required Skills : Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with housekeeping equipment maintenance.
• Understanding of plumbing and allied repair works.
• Ability to work in shifts and respond to breakdowns promptly.
• Good coordination and reporting skills.
• Preferred Qualifications - Electrical License (preferred)
• Experience in metro rail / airport / mall / hospital / facility management sector
• Basic knowledge of safety standards and preventive maintenance systems
• Working Conditions - Shift-based deployment including weekends and holidays.
• Work may involve movement across station premises and handling maintenance tools/equipment.
