Job Description
The Safety Steward is responsible for promoting and maintaining safe working practices on the fabrication shop floor. The role ensures safety compliance, identifies hazards, supports workers in following safety procedures, and helps prevent accidents during fabrication activities.
- Key Responsibilities:
Safety Monitoring
- Monitor shop floor activities to ensure safe working practices
- Ensure workers follow safety rules and PPE usage
- Hazard Control
- Identify potential hazards in the workplace
- Report and support corrective actions to eliminate risks
2. Worker Awareness
- Guide workers on safety procedures and precautions
- Promote awareness of safe working practices
3.Emergency Support
- Assist during emergencies and incident situations
- Support evacuation and first-aid response when required
4.Inspection & Reporting
- Conduct routine safety inspections
- Maintain records of safety observations and incidents
5.Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and guidelines
- Support implementation of safety standards on the production floor
