Job Title: Technician

Reporting To: Utility Supervisor

Posting Location: Circle (Multiple Sites)

Span of Control: 1 Technician for ~50 Sites

Employment Type: Compulsory / Full-time

Role Purpose:

The Technician is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted (24x7) operation and maintenance of telecom sites, maintaining infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure 24x7 uptime of all assigned telecom sites

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of sites

• Visit each site at least once every month

• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE kits/tools during all field activities

• Monitor and ensure: o 100% SAS implementation

o Site alarm integration and automation

o SMPS reachability and Everest 9 parameter visibility

• Close TT01 & TT02 tickets within defined timelines with proper evidence as per guidelines

• Attend and resolve alarms received from NOC/OMCR promptly

• Takeover new sites with proper HOTO process and close punch points

• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for maintenance and upgrades

• Liaise with Electricity Board (EB) officials for issue resolution

Billing & Compliance

• Collect electricity bills (EB) and submit to CMP office

• Handle DD submission against EB bills

• Resolve billing discrepancies with EB authorities

• Ensure OCR compliance during diesel filling

• Maintain accurate Energy MIS reporting

Incident & Asset Management

• Report and file FIR within 24 hours in case of theft

• Submit fault investigation reports for incidents (fire, theft, accident, near-miss)

• Return faulty/unused materials to warehouse (CMP W/H)

• Coordinate diesel filling and maintain accurate records

Operational Excellence

• Maintain sites in auto mode and optimal condition

• Ensure site hygiene and upkeep

• Deliver hassle-free network operations

Job Requirements Educational Qualification

• Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) OR

• ITI (Electrical/Electronics) Experience

• Minimum 6 month to 1 years of relevant experience

• Must hold a valid wireman license Industry Preference

• Telecom industry

• Tower companies

• Vendors with passive infrastructure experience
