Accountant/ Accounts Executive

*Accountant Job Description*

*Core Purpose*  

Record, reconcile, and report financial transactions to ensure accurate books and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.

*Key Responsibilities*

- *Daily/Monthly Accounting*: Post journal entries, maintain general ledger, reconcile bank accounts and credit cards

- *Financial Reporting*: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports

- *AP/AR Management*: Process vendor invoices, issue client invoices, manage collections, and oversee payment cycles

- *Compliance*: Assist with tax filings, sales tax, payroll tax, and year-end audit schedules. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

- *Month-End Close*: Own the close process including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules

- *Budgeting & Analysis*: Support budget preparation, forecast updates, and provide insights on cost trends

- *Process Improvement*: Identify automation opportunities and strengthen internal controls

*Required Qualifications*

- *Education*: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- *Experience*: 2-4 years accounting experience. CPA track or CPA preferred

- *Technical Skills*: Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP. Advanced Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS

- *Knowledge*: Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax fundamentals

- *Soft Skills*: Detail oriented, strong analytical thinking, deadline driven, and able to communicate financials to non-finance te
