We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

We’re building a dedicated Business Operations team to provide critical engineering and business operations support for our payments systems.

What you need to know about the role-
This role is a unique opportunity to join a specialized Business Operations team at the core of PayPal’s payments organization. If you thrive in a dynamic, high-impact environment, you’ll find this position both challenging and rewarding.You’ll take ownership of automating key business operations, triaging production issues with speed and precision, and partnering closely with engineering teams and external PayPal partners to rapidly restore functionality.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the planning and execution of operational processes.
• Work with team members to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Propose improvements within their team and related peer teams.
• Exercise judgment on significant business issues.
• Assist in resource allocation and program execution.
• Provide continuous feedback to inform business processes and decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate will be responsible for facilitating and automating various biz operations. Candidate will be responsible for quickly and accurately triaging reported production issues. Candidate will partner with engineering teams and PayPal external partners to bring rapid resolution to production issues and restore customer functionality. A success profile will have a strong sense of ownership of the application stack, great analytical and problem-solving skills, in depth knowledge on latest technologies, ability to self-learn and attention to details. Candidate should be able to work independently and drive the initiative. This role involves working in shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure 24/7 support. Flexibility is crucial for this role to accommodate varying schedules and maintain continuous operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Work in rotating shifts as part of a 24/7 support team to ensure continuous operational coverage
• Perform settlement and reconciliation processes with payment providers and financial networks to ensure accurate transaction processing
• Create, verify, and adjudicate disputes with participating networks and payment providers to resolve transaction discrepancies
• Collaborate with engineering and live support teams to handle escalated issues and provide technical assistance to participants and payment providers
• Support ongoing business operations related to payment processing, dispute resolution, and network maintenance activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
