Job Description: Bus Maintenance Manager (Omni Bus Fleet)

Reports To: Operations Head / Transport Director

Job Summary:

The Bus Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and overall performance of the omni bus fleet.

The role ensures maximum vehicle uptime, safety compliance, and cost-effective maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities: -

Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance for all buses. - Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and meet safety standards. - Monitor breakdowns and ensure quick resolution.

- Manage daily workshop activities and mechanics.

- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.

- Ensure compliance with RTO regulations.

- Maintain vehicle documents (insurance, permits, pollution certificates).

- Track maintenance expenses and optimize costs.

- Supervise and train maintenance staff.

- Maintain service records and prepare reports. Required

Qualifications: - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering - 3–5 years of experience in fleet maintenance

Skills Required: - Technical knowledge of bus systems and diesel engines

- Leadership and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of transport regulations

- Basic computer skills

Key Performance Indicators: - Fleet uptime - Breakdown rate

- Maintenance cost per km

- Compliance adherence

Working Conditions: - May require shift work and emergency availability
