Position:Business Development Manager
Department:Sales & Business Development
Reporting To:CEO / Sales Head
Job Summary:The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, developing franchise and outlet expansion opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. The role involves market research, customer acquisition, negotiation, and revenue growth.
- Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business DevelopmentIdentify and generate new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company targets.
- Acquire new clients, franchise partners, and business associates.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Generate leads through field visits, networking, and digital platforms.
- Present business proposals and negotiate commercial terms.
- Client Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers and franchise partners.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects and existing clients.
- Address customer concerns and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth onboarding and support.
- Franchise DevelopmentSource potential franchise investors and partners.
- Conduct franchise presentations and business meetings.
- Support franchise onboarding and outlet opening activities.
- Monitor franchise performance and provide business support.
- Reporting & DocumentationMaintain accurate records of leads, meetings, and sales activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Track target achievement and payment collections.
- Update CRM and sales databases regularly.
- Required Skills:Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal abilities.
- Sales closing and relationship management skills.
- Market analysis and business planning knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
- Qualification:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- Experience:2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Franchise Sales, or Retail Expansion.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Monthly sales target achievement.
- Number of new franchise leads generated.
- Number of franchise bookings and outlet openings.
- Payment collection targets achieved.
- Customer acquisition and retention rate.
- Revenue growth contribution.
Salary:As per company standards and experience.
Location:Chennai / Field Sales
Preferred Industry Experience: Food & Beverage (F&B), Franchise Business, Retail Expansion, Hospitality, or FMCG.
