Summary:
As a Database Administrator, your typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. You will be responsible for installing database management systems and developing procedures that support daily maintenance activities and efficient problem resolution. Your role requires a proactive approach to managing database environments, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the overall infrastructure to meet organizational needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and policies to maintain clear operational guidelines.
- Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in database management tasks.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Infosys Finacle.
- Strong knowledge of database installation, configuration, and maintenance processes.
- Experience in developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies.
- Ability to monitor and optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Familiarity with database security best practices and access control mechanisms.
- Understanding of data integrity, consistency, and disaster recovery planning.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Infosys Finacle.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
