Job Description:

• Design and development of plasma cutting torches, components and consumables for the new generation plasma cutting systems/business.
• Strong understanding of plasma cutting process with multi-physics such as electro magnetics, plasma generation, plasma surface interactions, phase change processes, interfacial phenomena, material removal and mass transports.
• Numerical verification and validation of the plasma system with multi physics competency
• Developing and simulating coupled physics models, solving electromechanical, electro thermal, fluid structure interaction models for wide range of structural and fluid property variation model, solving and experimental validation
• Improving existing plasma system and sub system for the plasma cutting machines, process.
• Develop and implement design solutions using CAD and simulation software AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS Multiphysics
• Develop coding for variation fluid properties and integrate with computational models for solving different range of plasma systems
• Develop and implement design solutions using AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling, drawings for plasma/oxy fuel cutting machines parts/sub modules/system and products
• Provide engineering solution to product care issues and release the documents in CAD/PDM/PLM
• Perform complex engineering calculations and analyses to ensure optimal system performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, electrical engineering, system and software team) to ensure seamless integration of cutting systems.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in plasma cutting technology and industry trends.
• Take responsibility for the plasma consumable life test lab.
