Field Service Technician

About the Opportunity

This role is designed for motivated, technically inclined individuals who wish to build a long-term career in the lift and vertical transportation industry. Successful candidates will be enrolled in a fully sponsored, 30-day Residential Training Programme at the Company’s dedicated training facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka. No prior lift industry experience is required – the programme is structured to take candidates from foundational knowledge through to job-ready competency.

Upon successful completion of training and assessment, candidates will be confirmed in their permanent position and posted to an operational job site. Salary earnings commence from the first day of site posting.

Residential Training during Employment

★ Company Commitment During Training

–    Accommodation: Fully arranged and funded by the Company for the entire 30-day duration.

–    Travel: To and from Bengaluru training centre – travel arranged by the Company.

–    Food & Meals: Three meals per day provided at the residential facility at no cost to the trainee.

–    Training Materials: All study materials, safety equipment, and tools provided at no charge.

No bond or deposit required from the candidate.

Post-Training Onboarding

•      Candidates who pass the final assessment are confirmed in their permanent Field Service Technician role.

•      The Company will arrange travel and relocation assistance to the assigned job site.

•      Salary commences from the first day of reporting to the assigned site – not during training.

•      Candidates receive formal offer confirmation, appointment letter, and posting order on the last day of training.

•      A buddy / mentor engineer will be assigned for the first 30 days on-site to guide the new joinee.

Role Responsibilities (Post-Training,On-Site)

 Preventive Maintenance

•      Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) visits across the assigned lift portfolio.

•      Inspect, lubricate, adjust, and test all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.

•      Maintain accurate service records and submit maintenance reports after each visit.

•      Identify wear and proactively report or remedy deterioration before failure occurs.

Fault Diagnosis & Breakdown Response

•      Attend breakdown call-outs within agreed response times, including rostered out-of-hours coverage.

•      Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.

•      Carry out repairs and component replacements using approved methods and genuine parts.

•      Test and commission repaired lifts to confirm safe operation before handover to client.

Safety & Compliance

•      Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including LOLER, PUWER, and IS/BS EN 81 standards.

•      Conduct risk assessments and apply safe systems of work before every task.

•      Use PPE at all times and report unsafe equipment conditions immediately.

⚠ Who Should Apply

–    ITI or Diploma holders in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronics (preferred but not mandatory).

–    10th / 12th pass candidates with strong mechanical or electrical aptitude are also welcome to apply.

–    Freshers and candidates with up to 2 years’ experience in any engineering trade are eligible.

–    Must be physically fit: able to climb ladders, work at height, and carry out manual handling tasks.

–    Willing to relocate for training (Bengaluru) and subsequent posting (any state, India).

–    Age: 18 to 30 years (relaxable for candidates with relevant trade experience).

–    Basic English literacy preferred for reading technical manuals and completing reports.

Must possess a valid government-issued photo ID and address proof.

Selection Process

•      Step 1 – Application submission (G-Form Registration)

•      Step 2 – Telephonic / video screening by Field HR (First level screening)

•      Step 3 – In-person interview at nearest regional office or training centre

•      Step 4 – Medical fitness check (company-arranged, at company cost)

•      Step 5 – Offer letter issued → Training date confirmed → Joining instructions sent

•      Step 6 – Report to Bengaluru Training Centre on joining date

ⓘ Key Terms

–    This is a permanent employment offer – the training period is part of the employment, not a contract period.

–    Salary is not payable during the training month; a daily training stipend is paid instead (as per offer letter).

–    Full salary commences from the date of posting to the job site.

–    Posting location will be determined by operational requirements; candidates must be willing to be posted anywhere in India.

–    Accommodation and food during training are company obligations and non-transferable to cash.

The company reserves the right to extend training by up to 5 days without additional cost to the candidate.
