Job Description
OverviewThis role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of Investment Operations practices, and a strategic mindset to enhance our service offerings. The candidate will work closely with senior management of WNS and it’s clients, both local and global, to ensure the smooth functioning of business in general and accounting team in particular. The role includes but not limited to, managing the operational risk of the business, ensuring best in class client experience on all the business products, creating efficiency in business processes, acting as a culture carrier of the firm, retaining and developing talent, motivating and mentoring employees in achieving their career goals. Responsibilities• Ensuring operational risk management and timely issuance of client deliverables.• Collaborate across the functional teams, locally and globally, to maximize the commercial impact on the business.• Formulating the necessary controls in clients and processes to ensure efficient and error free client deliverables.• Serve as the primary point of contact for Onshore team, ensuring exceptional service delivery.• Timely escalation of risk related issues to the senior management.• Ensuring that individual team members are aware of the policies, controls and procedures that apply to their role. • Retain, develop and motivate team members to contribute more and seek long term career with the firm. • Identifying the training areas for the team members (Functional as well as Soft Skills)• Guide and mentor team members in achieving their career goals.• Act as a trusted partner for clients, including the ability to discuss operational issues in a confident and professional manner.• Work on a partnership basis with peers in other functional areas/locations in presenting ‘one MSFS’ to our clients.• Direct management and supervision of Managers, including coaching, career development and motivation.• Maintain an awareness of industry and regulatory developments that specially impact investor servicing and more broadly the business.• Ability to accurately present our services to both existing and prospective clients in a confident and professional manner.• Demonstrate innovation to improve current processes that create scale/reduce risk and enhance our service offering.• Execute sound judgement when escalating risk issues, play a central role in resolution.• Demonstrate a strong collaborative approach within and across functions.• Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.• Partake in various IT and operational projects. Qualifications• Day to day monitoring and reporting of KPI’s/KRI’s to BU Heads.• Understanding and aligning to BU’s objectives.• Establishing roadmap for future growth.• Formulating and continues review of resiliency strategy for respective BU’s.• Driving efficiency agenda, the team • Strong Leadership and Client Management Experience • Experience with industry-specific analytical tools such as Bloomberg, Tableau and Smartsheet is a plus• Knowledge and/ or experience with the following security types: Government Bonds, Corporate Bonds, Municipal bonds, Derivatives, Mortgages and Foreign Exchange. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with various groups and departments throughout the organization• A team player that values accuracy and has excellent time-management, multi-tasking and organizational skills• We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, proactive and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.• The optimal candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and exhibits a strong interest in finance and accountingAcademic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate degree in business finance, accounting or related field
