LIGHT VEHICLE DRIVER

Location: Thiruvottiyur, Chennai

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Light Vehicle Driver to handle company vehicle operations, product deliveries, material collection, and other transportation requirements. The driver must maintain the vehicle properly and ensure safe and timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive the company’s light vehicle safely and responsibly.

- Deliver mats, carpets, flooring rolls, and other products to customers.

- Collect materials from suppliers and transport them to the company warehouse.

- Load and unload goods safely when required.

- Follow the assigned delivery schedule and route.

- Ensure products are delivered to the correct customer and location.

- Collect delivery acknowledgements, invoices, and other required documents.

- Assist the warehouse and sales team during loading and delivery operations.

- Maintain the vehicle in clean and good working condition.

- Check fuel, tyres, oil, brakes, and other basic vehicle requirements regularly.

- Report any vehicle problems, accidents, damages, or maintenance requirements immediately.

- Follow all traffic rules and company safety procedures.

- Maintain proper discipline and professional behaviour with customers and suppliers.

- Perform other driving and transportation duties assigned by management.

Requirements

- Valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licence.

- Previous driving experience preferred.

- Good knowledge of Chennai and nearby areas.

- Ability to use Google Maps/navigation.

- Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.

- Good communication and customer-handling skills.

- Physically fit and willing to assist with loading/unloading.

- No major traffic violations or serious driving offences.

Working Conditions

- Working Hours: As per company requirement.

- Work Type: Local and outstation delivery/collection as assigned.

- The driver may need to travel to different locations based on business requirements.

Reporting
