Job Description
Poddar Tyres Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Executive to drive sales growth and strengthen the company’s presence in the bicycle and two-wheeler tyre market across Chennai and surrounding territories. The role requires extensive field engagement to expand the dealer network, improve market share, and build long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for bicycle and two-wheeler tyres.
* Visit dealers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and mechanics to generate sales and strengthen business relationships.
* Spend 3–4 days every week in the field to monitor market activities, identify new business opportunities, and increase product visibility.
* Appoint new dealers and distributors in potential markets.
* Improve market share by converting competitors’ customers and expanding product penetration.
* Ensure product availability across assigned territories and maintain healthy stock levels with channel partners.
* Collect market intelligence on competitor pricing, schemes, product launches, and customer preferences.
* Conduct product demonstrations and educate dealers and retailers about product features and benefits.
* Execute sales promotions, dealer engagement programs, and marketing initiatives in coordination with the regional sales team.
* Resolve dealer and customer issues related to product availability, delivery, and after-sales support.
* Prepare daily call reports, weekly sales updates, and monthly business reviews.
* Coordinate with the manufacturing plant, logistics, and head office to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.

* Achievement of sales targets.
* Increase in market share within the assigned territory.
* New dealer/distributor appointments.
* Dealer retention and relationship management.
* Territory coverage and productive field visits.
* Sales growth by product category.
* Collection of market intelligence and competitor updates.
* Timely submission of sales reports.
