Connection Systems Product Portfolio - critical components which are highly engineered to meet “automotive grade” requirements:

 

Ÿ   Traditional Interconnects: LV connectors, Terminals, Mechatronics packaging (MePa), Pin Headers

Ÿ   High Voltage: HV connectors and inlets

Ÿ   Specialty Products: High-speed cable assemblies, safety restraint/airbag connectors, pm-glass connectors

Ÿ   Consumer connectivity: Media modules, Wireless device chargers

Electrical centers: Hard wired electrical centers, prompted circuit board (PCB) electrical centers, solid state electrical centers

POSITION SUMMARY: To support the CS Global Product Development teams (China) in product design and development.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE ACCOMPLISHED:

• Responsible for product design and development in Low voltage automotive connector segment.

• Responsible for project planning and executions.

• To ensure the project quality as per the standards

• To meet the delivery deadlines.

EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training) - Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering stream.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in the Connector / Automotive / Complex plastic / sheet metal Product Design and Development.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

• Good knowledge in product concept development / end to end product development in LV Connector.

• Good skills in product design using NX / SolidWorks / VGM software.

• Good skills in detailed plastic and Sheetmetal component design and design calculations, tolerance stack up, Benchmark study, product validation and LV connector validation standard.

• Good knowledge in materials and material selection (plastics and sheet metal)

• Good knowledge in DFM & DFA

• Understanding of DRBFM and DFMEA

• Judgement skills to evaluate concepts and design verification results

• Good knowledge in GD&T and creation of production drawings

• Good knowledge in stamping and injection moulding processes.
