Senior Pricing Engineer

The Senior Pricing Engineer is based in FCEC Chennai, India and as this position support Middle East and Africa, she/he must review the pricing requests for special products/processing from Sales & LBP teams, estimate the assembly/adder price and provide quote, costing estimate for projects and drive continuous improvement on metrics. 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Costing Process Management:

• Prepare the costing for projects before bid stage to understand the feasibility of order.
• Validate GP margins and provide what if analysis on breakeven and targeted profit.

• Analyze the variances between costed and actual GP, rework the cost process to reduce the variances and provide accurate cost estimations.

 

Special Products Pricing:

• Validate the requests from sales, create BOM and estimate pricing.

• Provide technical guidance for best price quotes by analyzing product structure and manufacturing techniques and choosing the best option.

• Coordinate with supply chain and procurement team for best cost solutions.

• Work with manufacturing and quality team to estimate cost for special requirements.

• Establish good relationship & closer coordination with Sales / application, Product engineers, Procurement team, Industry teams and Sales
• Work with different manufacturing facility within MEA region

 

 

 

Who You Are: 

• As Senior Pricing Engineer, the candidate shall handle MEA special pricing and project costing requests supporting Special Pricing team/Finance team, MEA World Area. 
• Skilled to independently handle the pricing and costing requests. 
• Handle and manage the SPG workload for MEA World Area
• Have Strong analytical skills. 

• Able to understand Fisher products and processing.

• Able to understand various financial terms and Pricing & Costing strategy. 

 

For This Role, You Will Need:

Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.

Experience in highly Mechanical / Design / Technology focused role.

• Minimum 4+ years’ overall experience
• 1 year experience in control valves (Sales & Application, Order Engineering, Pricing/Costing)
• General understanding on the quote to cash processes
• Mechanical /technical drawing interpretations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

 

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Order Engineering/Special Pricing experience in Fisher control valves would be an added advantage.
