Software Dev Engineer II, FireTV Experience

FireTV Chennai is looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented software engineers who has experience in building innovative, mission critical, high volume cloud systems that powers our world-class content forward experience for millions of customers. As a software engineer in this team, You'll own critical systems aggregating data across the ecosystem and delivering through standardized interfaces that power seamless, personalized viewing experiences for millions of customers. You'll work with modern distributed systems, real-time data processing, and high-availability architectures while maintaining operational excellence standards.

Key job responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain highly available cloud services and device components powering Fire TV's entitlement ecosystem, ensuring 99.99% uptime for Tier 1 and Tier 2 services. Build scalable data ingestion and validation systems. Drive operational excellence monitoring service health, reducing incidents, resolving customer defects, and implementing debugging capabilities for faster root cause analysis. Contribute to technical strategy and innovation.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
