Solution Architect – Data Engineering with 12+ years of total IT experience, including 3–5 years specifically as a Data Architect or Solution Architect. The ideal candidate will lead data platform design, contribute to pre‑sales and proposal efforts, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and cloud-native data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead proposal, solution design, architecture diagrams, and effort estimation for pre‑sales engagements.
Support RFP/RFI responses and ensure proposed data solutions align with client requirements.
Conduct client workshops, demos, and technical presentations showcasing data engineering capabilities.
Collaborate with sales and practice teams to define solution narratives and value propositions.
Translate business needs into scalable data architectures—data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse patterns.
Architect metadata-driven ingestion frameworks for both batch and real-time data pipelines.
Define key architecture components: security, metadata, lineage, reference data, and MDM.
Lead data modeling across conceptual, logical, and physical layers.
Build and optimize cloud-native data platforms on Azure and/or AWS.
Drive data migration and modernization from legacy systems to cloud platforms.
Implement data quality, governance, lineage, and compliance practices to ensure trusted data.
Enable secure and governed data consumption for BI, analytics, and data science teams.
Demonstrate strong technical proficiency across: SQL, Python, PySpark, SQL/NoSQL databases
Any one of Modern cloud data platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric
Modern file formats: Delta, Parquet, Avro, JSON
Required Qualifications

12+ years of IT experience with a strong background in modern data engineering and architecture.
Minimum 3+ years as a Data Architect or Solution Architect.
Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-native data platforms on Azure and/or AWS.
Hands-on experience with any one of modern data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric is highly desired.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in proposal support and pre-sales.
